Obituary

Mary (Molly) Dolan Crome, 73, of Cream Ridge, passed away on November 21, 2020 at home in the arms of her loving husband.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, she resided in Allentown and then Cream Ridge since 1977. Molly gave herself completely to any project she undertook. Upon graduation from Northeastern Illinois University she taught special needs children in the poorest section of Chicago. While living in South Bend, IN she became President of the local chapter of the Open Door Society, a group that advocates for adoption issues. Later on, she taught and directed Sunday school. When she found the curriculum wanting, she wrote her own. She answered the call for newborn foster care and helped fifteen babies get a healthy start.

Molly found her greatest joy in her large and noisy family. She participated actively in her five children's lives, being a teacher, Den Mother, gymnastics club Mom and cheerleader for their many athletic events.

Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Dolan; her brothers Timothy Dolan and Thomas Dolan, Jr; and daughter, Priscilla Crome Drager. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ralph Crome; children Micah (Kate) Crome, Noah (Sara) Crome, Sarah (Conrad) Gulden, Joshua (Cesia) Crome and son-in-law David Drager; grandchildren Ian Drager, Simone and Nadine Crome, Mariah and Apollo Crome, Karrynn Gulden, Patrick, Sophia and Grace Crome. Also surviving are her sisters, Kate Dolan and wife Christine Abbeduto, Deb and husband Micheal Rigoni, Frances Dolan and husband Scott Shershow and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends are invited to call from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ on Friday December 4, 2020. The church service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Allentown Presbyterian Church, Allentown, NJ.
