Obituary

Mary Ann Kish Bromer, 72, of Metropolis, Illinois, formerly a lifelong resident of New Jersey, went to her heavenly reward at 2:30pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at home, with family by her side.  Born in Pennsylvania on November 19, 1939 to Frances Brozena Kish & George Kish, she grew up on William Street in Trenton and later moved to the Robbinsville area after marrying the love of her life, H. Robert Bromer.  Mrs. Bromer worked for the State of New Jersey and, after retiring there, worked for H&R Block as an office manager and tax preparer.  She volunteered much of her time to others through many charitable organizations such as the Jaycees; the Jayceettes, of which she was a past state president; and the Civitan Club.  Mrs. Bromer's positive attitude and infectious smile and laugh touched the lives of many people.  She was of the Catholic Faith and her positive determination and commitment to God was a part of her everyday life.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Daughter of the late George and Frances Kish; she was predeceased by her beloved husband, H. Robert Bromer and a sister-in-law and her husband, Kathleen and Albert Richard Godfrey.  She is survived by one brother, George R. Kish and his wife Joanne Vaccaro-Kish, of Odessa, FL; one sister, Barbara Beckner of Phoenix, AZ;  nephew David Godfrey and his wife Sherry of Joppa, IL; nephew Matthew Kish, of Odessa FL; nephew John Beckner and his wife Carmen of Phoenix, AZ; niece Joan Beckner-Foley and her husband Max of Tempe, AZ; niece Kim Armenti and her husband Jason of NJ; nephew Robert Godfrey of Doylestown, PA;  niece Barbara Godfrey of Paducah, KY; and brother-in-law Richard Bromer and his wife Jean of Lawrenceville, NJ.

After a visitation in Metropolis, IL; a visitation will be held on Monday evening, July 2 nd from 5-8pm and Tuesday, 10 am until the time of service, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.   Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 3 rd at the funeral home.  The Rev. Patrick Castles will officiate.  Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville.
