Martin Cleere, 73, of Allentown passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton.  Born in Queens, NY, he resided in Fanwood, NJ for 32 years before moving to Allentown.  A graduate of St. John's University, Martin retired from the NY State Department of Labor after 42 years of service.  He was a member of St. John's Church, Allentown, enjoyed music and excelled at classic movie and music trivia.

Predeceased by his brother, Michael Cleere and sister, Lillian Puccio, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Cleere; his son, Mark Cleere of Westfield; a sister, Anne O'Hanlon of Massapequa Park, NY; a sister-in-law, Ann Cleere of Manalapan; a brother-in-law, Rudy Puccio of Hampton Bays, NY as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11am Saturday, October 1 ^st at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Road, Allentown.  A visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 2-4pm and 7 -9pm and again on Saturday from 9:30-10:30am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
