Martha Sunshine, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday at her home. Born in Newark she resided in Millburn, NJ most of her life before recently moving to Hamilton. Martha was a Jewish War Veteran serving in the US Navy and worked for Saks Fifth Ave in Millburn for many years. She was a member of the Congregation B'nai Israel in Millburn, NJ and served as past president of O. R. T. Martha was an avid movie goer and loved to read and watch soap operas.
Wife of the late Nathaniel L. Sunshine and sister of the late Hemina Slatnik, she is survived by her children, Cynthia Weaver and her husband Charles of Lufkin TX, and Eric Sunshine and his wife Cathleen of Hamilton, with whom she resided; five grandchildren, Jessie and James Weaver, Natalie Sunshine and Dominic and Elyse Ciaramella; two brothers, Marvin Kurtzman and his wife Anne and Murray Kurtzman and his wife Harriet all of Manchester and her best friend Mildred Gouss of Millburn.
Graveside service will be held at the connivance of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Embracing Hospice Care 2101 Route 34 South, Suite B, Wall, NJ 07719. Arrangements under the direction f the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
