Obituary

Marleen F. Kilgore, 70, of Allentown, passed away Friday, February 25, 2010 at her home. Born in New York, NY, she was a resident of Allentown for many years and also owned a home with her husband in Surf City, which they lovingly opened to all their family and friends. A graduate of Rutgers, she was employed for many years as an accountant for ETS, retiring in 2001. Marleen was a member and Lecture at both St. John's Church in Allentown and St. Thomas of Villa Nova in Surf City. She was a member of St. John's 50+ Club and volunteered as a docent at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton. Above all, Marleen loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marleen is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Thomas Kilgore; her brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Susan O'Connor; her nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Brennan and her husband William, Gavin O'Connor and his wife Marybeth and Jennifer Piepszak and her husband Richard as well as many great nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Tuesday, March 1 St at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Allentown Road, Allentown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday from 4-7 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to support research for rare forms of cancer may be made to Cycle for Survival, C/O Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at http://mskcc.convio.net.
