IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Stephen
Gulbinsky
May 26, 1951 – July 29, 2024
The Lord called Mark Stephen Gulbinsky on July 29 at age 73. He and his wife of 41 years, Ellen, have been residents of Bordentown for the last 26 years. Mark was an avid photographer who loved landscapes and the outdoors. Traveling and photographing new places were his passion. After a trip with friends, his fellow travelers could always expect copies of the photo high points of the trip. He was the volunteer photographer of the Association of Environmental Authorities where his wife worked. His job at the New Jersey Department of Transportation which extended 39 years lead him to love maps and exploring. He transitioned with the map making process from mechanical drawing to GIS data and received three awards, one for Achievement in GIS, and two for Employee of the Year.
Mark was an encyclopedia of science fiction and sports data. He loved soccer and Arsenal was his team. In retirement, he had more time to play golf, but in his lifetime, he played baseball, basketball, racquetball, and tennis but could not master bowling. Movies were another passion along with hotdogs and bourbon. He had a dry sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was noted for imitating the Monty Python silly walk and for imitating the sound of horses running and birds tweeting.
Most importantly, Mark was very kind and reliable, ready to help, sympathetic and sincerely loved by Ellen, family and friends.
Mark was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Isabella Gulbinsky and survived by his wife Ellen, Brother Joe, Sister Andrea, Niece and Nephew Emily and Zachary Gross and their children Henry and Audrey, Cousins Frank and Mary Ann Finch, Brothers in law Donald Chebra and Scott Seabridge, and many friends, neighbors and former coworkers all of whom he held dear.
