Obituary

Mark Gagnon, 48, of Boise, formerly of Bordentown, N.J., passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 29, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born the youngest of four children on Sept. 5, 1960 to Tina and Onile Gagnon. He grew up in Bordentown and graduated in 1978 from BRHS before becoming a ""Mountaineer"" at West Virginia University where he received his BS Degree in Geology. In 1987 he married his high school sweetheart, Carla. In 1991 they embarked on the biggest adventure of their life and moved west to Idaho. It was here that they were blessed with two sons, Will and Ian. Mark loved the outdoors and spent many happy days packing into the mountains to bow hunt. He had a passion for many team sports, especially ice hockey, which he played and coached for many years. He will always be remembered for his no nonsense approach to life, his quick wit and big smile. To some, he may not always have been the best diplomat, but you knew that he possessed the integrity to ""stick to his guns"" even when it wasn't popular. Mark was a very humble man, a trait that might be a surprise to him. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, brother, and friend. We will miss him more than could possibly be expressed. His passing has left a void in our hearts and minds, which hopefully will be healed by love and wonderful memories. Memorial contributions may be made to the V Foundation for Cancer, jimmyv.org.
