Marion E. Reeves, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026, at her home in Columbus, New Jersey. She is now home with our Lord and Savior and reunited with her beloved husband and children in our kingdom of Heaven.

Born in Florence, New Jersey, and moving to the Columbus area when she was young, Marion had been a resident of the area all her life. While raising her family, she had worked for McGraw Hill Publications and was the chair of the Mansfield Township Special Events Committee for many years, organizing many wonderful community events such as Field Day, The Bicentennial Celebration and raising funds for the Clock Tower located at the corner of West Main Street and Railroad Avenue in Columbus. Marion was a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Columbus. She enjoyed being with her family and friends camping, fishing trips to Vermont and Maine, and being the matriarch of her family. “Aunt Marion” as she has been known to many, will be missed.

The eldest of eleven, Marion is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Sarah Walder, her beloved husband, Robert R. Reeves Sr., her daughter, Donna L. Don-Harrington, and her two sons: Robert R. Jr. and Chuck J. Reeves. She is survived by her grandchildren: Carrie, Kenny, C.J., Courtney, Caitlyn, Brandy and Jenna, her son, Duke Walder and her sisters: Beatrice Griffis of Florida and Beverly Rasmussen of Columbus, NJ. She is also survived by her many great-grandchildren: Averie, Aiden, Asher, Andrik, Marek, Kellan, Leo and Sura as well as her beloved brother-in-law, Barry Rasmussen, her daughter-in-law Maureen Reeves, her son-in-law Michael Harrington and several nieces/great-nieces and nephews/great-nephews.

A Memorial Service celebrating Marion’s life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 24573 East Main St., Columbus, NJ 08022. Interment will follow in Columbus Cemetery, Cherry Lane, Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marion’s name to the Wesley United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
