Marion D. Cranmer (Kennedy), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 2, 2026, just shy of her 92nd birthday. Born August 9, 1934, in Miami, Florida, Marion's life was a testament to generosity, warmth, and steadfast devotion to those she loved and her community.

Marion was the daughter of the late Thomas Kennedy and May Drews Kennedy and was preceded in death by her dear brothers, Thomas (Peggy) and Albert Kennedy (Doris). Throughout her long and meaningful life, Marion built a family and circle of friends who cherished her deeply.

Marion is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Robert William Cranmer, with whom she shared many wonderful years of love and companionship. Together they raised a close-knit family, instilling values of kindness and resilience. She leaves behind her sons Russell Steven Mains and daughter-in-law Wendy, William Cranmer, and her daughter Sharon Schlupp and son-in-law Brian.

She was a loving and proud grandmother to Stephanie (Tom Komlosi), Candace (Dylan Noyes), Robyn (Steven Lengenfelder), Kimberly (Jason Bentman), Kelly (James Gill) Daniel Schlupp (Skylar Perez) and Brandon Cranmer. The family legacy has grown, and Marion found immense joy in her great-grandchildren: Matthew, Alexxa, Gavin, Kennedy, Avolyn, Lacey, Walker, Lauryn, and Rory.

Marion dedicated her professional career to her community as the Transportation Coordinator for the Bordentown Regional School District. Her care for students and colleagues alike truly embodied her spirit of service and attentiveness. Yet, her influence stretched far beyond her professional role. After her retirement, she volunteered her time as a board member of the Bordentown Regional School District.

Marion was an active volunteer with the Hope Hose Fire Company, serving as first responder and contributing her time and support to the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a steadfast member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and forged lasting friendships and uplifted others with her kindness and compassion.

Among her treasured memories were the many joyful times spent at her beloved beach house in North Carolina. The comforts of sand, sea, and family drew her back year after year, creating a wealth of cherished moments for all who joined her there.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Peppler Funeral Home in Bordentown, located at 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ 08505. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Marion will be laid to rest at North Crosswicks Cemetery, 4952 Crosswicks Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton Township, NJ 08620, following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church.
