Marion Adele Cienkowski passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Marion was born and raised in Bordentown before moving to Southampton, NJ in 1972.
Predeceased by her parents, Laura and George Anderson; her husband of 42 years, Thomas Cienkowski; and her son-in-law, Joseph S. Varga, she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Varga of Bordentown, her sons, Thomas A. Henry, III of Southampton, NJ, and Ronald Henry (Kathy) of Trenton, NJ, her two grandchildren, Sean Varga and Meghan Lettiere (Michael), her Great Grandson, Benjamin Lettiere, all of Bordentown, and her sister, Edna Padlo of Hillsborough, NJ. Marion is also survived by 3 close friends, Joyce Hall, Gail Daugherty, and Deborah Ware, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Marion was formerly employed by RCA in Hightstown, NJ as an executive secretary before becoming a full time homemaker in 1972. She most recently became the owner of the Evergreen Dairy Bar located in Southampton, after the demise of her husband, who originally established the business in 1949. She was an avid cryptogram and crossword puzzle solver. She most enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, caring for others, spending time with her family and friends, and especially doting over her rescue cats. Her kind heart and caring nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Marion's life will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, February 8 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow at the Bordentown Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 am to time of service at the funeral home.
