Mario S. Scarnici, 86, passed away October25, 2023 at the Masonic Village in Burlington, NJ.  Born in Petralia Sottana, Sicily, he was a resident of South Brunswick for 37 years before moving to the Masonic Village at Burlington. A US Army Veteran, Mario worked in the construction field for over 57 years, with 54 of those at Amboy Drywall, formally J & V Inc. In his younger days he enjoyed playing handball and soccer.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, playing cards and visiting Atlantic City.

Son of the late Emilio and Flora Scanici, Mario is survived by his loving wife, Jennie with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on October 17th; his sons and daughters-in-law, Emilio and Elaine Scarnici and Michael and Helene Scarnici; his grandchildren, Petralia, Avellina, Ciana and Caleb; his brother and sister-in-law, Rodolfo and Katherine Scarnici as well as many other extended family and close friends.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 1st  from 5 to 8 pm at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St, Allentown, NJ. A graveside service will be held 11am Thursday, November 2nd at the Brig. Gen. William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions be made in Marios's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
