Marie I. Shanko, 81, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in the family home in Ewing, she was a graduate of Ewing High School. Marie work at AAA for several years and was the Transportation Coordinator for the Robbinsville Board of Education. A Police Matron for the Washington Twp. Police, she was an excellent cook and had a great sense of humor, always making others smile or laugh. Marie loved her family above all and was truly proud of all her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late John and Frances Flesch, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Shanko, Sr. Marie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Jr. and Carmen, Michael and Dawn and Bryan and Terri; her grandchildren, Rich III, Jeff, Marissa, Mike Jr., William, Josh, Ashley and Jesse; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Sal Butera; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at this time with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
