Mariano Oldani , 90, of Fieldsboro passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 12 ^th , surrounded by his loving family.  Born and raised in Trenton, Mariano moved to the Bordentown area in 1976 and has lived there ever since.  A millwright by trade, he worked for US Steel for many years before retiring and working for Congoleum for 8 years after that.  Moe has always enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.  He was always very handy and he could fix anything in the house or car.  In later years he loved playing the lottery and nearly cracked the code.  He was a man of a few words, until you talk shop with him.  Mariano loved his family.  He will be missed by all that knew him.

Predeceased by his parents, John Oldani and Maria Concetta Strzempa; his loving wife, Patricia Oldani; his brother, John Oldani; his sisters, Josephine Donovan and Louise Michalchuk; and his son, Patric Oldani. Mariano is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Rose Oldani of Bensalem, PA; his daughter, Shari Gerace of Fieldsboro, NJ; his sister, Mary Kondash and her husband Fred Scott of FL; as well as his significant other of many years, Rose Knapp.  Mariano is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Lastly, Mariano is predeceased by his baby girl pup, Tara, whom he loved dearly.

A prayer service for Mariano will be held on May 15 ^th at 2:30pm at The Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ 08505. A visitation with friends and family will be held from 1pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mariano's name to the SPCA.
