Maria Meggyes, 83, peacefully passed away on October 15, 2011 at home and surrounded by her loving family.   Born in Kislang, Hungary, she moved to the United States with her husband, Nicholas, in 1956.  She was a resident of Robbinsville since 1973.  She retired from Circle F and was a member of Saint Stephens Parish (Trenton).

She loved being at home and spent much of her time preparing delicious Hungarian meals.  She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.  Her greatest joy was her family, especially her two grandchildren.

Maria was predeceased by her parents, Ference and Maria Lukacs, her brother Lazlo and her beloved husband of 52 years Nicholas Meggyes.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Juliana and Daniel Matthews of Robbinsville, granddaughter Kristina Matthews of New York and grandson Daniel Matthews of Philadelphia .  She also leaves behind a sister, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.  Arrangements are by Peppler Funeral Home in Allentown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Visiting Nurses Association of Mercer County Hospice, P.O. Box 441, Trenton, NJ 08603.
