Obituary

Margaret E. Tanner-Boles ""Peg"", 63, died suddenly Thursday evening at her home. Born in Stafford, Kansas, she grew up on a farm in rural St. John, Kansas. After graduating from St. John High School and Kansas State University, she taught drama, speech and literature in schools in Kansas, Indiana and New Jersey. She retired from the Cherry Hill School District in 2005.

Peg moved to Allentown, NJ 30 years ago and was instrumental in establishing "" Friends of Arneytown"" which was formed to help preserve the historic area. She owned and operated Boxwood Corner for over 20 years.

Daughter of the late Raymond and Ava Tanner , she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Tyson Boles and Rosemary Harley of Philadelphia, PA. 2 brothers; Jim Tanner and his wife Diane of Tooele, UT and John Tanner and his wife Wilma of Wichita, Kansas. 2 sisters: Patricia Nelson and her husband Carl of Newark, DE and Beccy Tanner of Wichita, Kansas. Nephews and nieces; Mariah Tanner Ehmke of Laramie, Wyoming, Chad W. Nelson of Newark, DE., Richard and Lauree Tanner of Tooele, Utah, Jacob Tanner of Farmington, NM, John Tanner of Tooele Utah, and Tom and Hope Tanner Stephenson of Tooele, Utah. and a grandson Raymond Angus Harley Boles( Red) of Philadelphia.

A Memorial Service celebrating Margaret's life was celebrated Thursday, Oct. 4th at 11 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. www.pepplerfh.com
