Margaret Ruoff, 88, died peacefully on March 20, 2010, at Samaritan Hospice, in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Greenock, Scotland, she had lived in Queens, NY, until moving to Homestead at Mansfield in 1987. Margaret had worked as an executive secretary for Metropolitan Life Insurance in New York City, NY and as a secretary and aid for the New York City Public Schools. She was a member and Clerk of Session at St. James United Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood, NY., a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church of Burlington and the Senior Citizens of Homestead.
Daughter of the late James and Catherine McNamara, sister of the late Roderick McNamara and wife of 65 years to the late Walter M. Ruoff, she is survived by three children, Ronald Ruoff and his wife Susan of Glendale, NY, Dr. Kathryn L. Ruoff of White River Junction, VT.and Margaret MacKenzie of Columbus, NJ., two grandchildren, Rachel Ruoff and David Dittrich.
Funeral Services will be 10 am Wednesday, March 24, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will be private at Maple Grove Memorial Park, Kew Gardens, NY. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon, 2 to 4 pm and again 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 3 pm.
