Margaret “Peg” Gravatt, 89 of Columbus passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Virtua Willingboro Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Dundalk, MD, she was a graduate of Bayonne High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Trenton State College, attending school at night while working and raising her family. Peg retired as an executive from McGraw Hill where she worked for 34 years. She was proud of her career with McGraw Hill and her position allowed her to travel across the United States. She was a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed watching a game whenever she could.

Peg loved people. She embraced meeting new people and made friends easily. She took an interest in other people and had a gift of being able to talk to anyone. She used this gift when she returned home to New Jersey and took a job at the Cracker Barrell.

Peg loved the Lord and was a woman of strong faith. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Isidore Parish at St. Andrew’s Chapel in Jobstown. Her greatest joy was her family, and she adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Friscia, Margaret was predeceased by her grandson, Charles Swanner and by her sister, Jayne Sanford. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Al Gravatt; her three children, Laura Lynn Ulrich, David S. Weiss and his partner, Robyn Giangrande, and Michael Gravatt and his wife, Wendy; her grandchildren, Michelle Love, David Weiss Jr., Melissa Jordan, Jeffrey Weiss, Savanna Weiss, Michael Gravatt, Jr., and Bryce Gravatt; her great grandchildren, Lyric, Tristan, Peyton, Deserae, Jack, Julianne, Jessica, Matthew, Jackson, Charlie, Cooper, Peyton, and Olivia; her great-great granddaughter, Zoey.
