Margaret Adele Ashley, also known to her family and friends as ""Ad"", age 80, of Hamilton; born and breed a true Trentonian Irish spirit, sadly passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Mercerville Care Center.  Adele was a woman before her time, a social butterfly, with an immensely big heart when it came to charity work in her community.  She was born with Heredity ""Ango edema"" blood disorder but never allowed this to get in her way of being a professional singer in her youth and often sang in local clubs.  Adele also worked for Atlantic Products and OPT TEL, was a member of Colonial Fire House Ladies Auxiliary in Hamilton and volunteered for many charitable and community activities.  She loved to ski, as a trained skier she taught lessons at her local ski club and, took many ski trips with friends.   Adele also loved celebrating Christmas and always had her house impeccably decorated.  Above of all, Adele loved spending time with her family, friends and her cats and in her free time, she enjoyed listening to Yanni and crocheting.

Predeceased by her parents John and Emma Kelly, and her sister Barbara Kelly, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Herman Ashley; five children, John Robert (Flint) Ashley, Herman Ashley and his wife Maria, Barbara Ragolia, Doug Ashley and his wife Angela, and Scott Ashley and his wife Rose; eleven grandchildren, Kelly, Shawn, Justin, Marie, Christina, Dennis, Anthony, Joey, Douglas, Nicole and Alycia; three step grandchildren, Robert, Denise and Jasmine and her former daughter-in-law Dee Ashley.

Funeral Service will be held 11:30 am on Friday, March 18 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main Street, Allentown.  Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.  Friends may call Thursday from 6-9pm and again Friday 10:30am until the time of service at the funeral home.
