Margaret A. Trevors, 81, of Robbinsville, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Serenity Hospice, surrounded by her family. Born in Princeton, she grew up on Chambers Street in Trenton and attended Immaculate Conception Elementary School and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Later, she moved to the Allentown/Robbinsville area where she raised her family.
Margaret worked hard throughout her life. She was a Clerk at Stark and Stark Law Firm for several years and later worked as a Principal Research Analyst for the State of New Jersey Division of Gaming and retiring from the State of New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice. She earned her college degree by going to night school, all while working a full-time job and raising her two children. Margaret served as the President of the Board of Directors of the NJ Department of Law and Public Safety Credit Union for three years and continued to be on the Board of Directors throughout her life.
A woman of faith, Margaret attended St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in Yardville. She was a former member and Board Member of the Contemporary Women’s Club of Trenton. She enjoyed traveling, going all across Europe with her husband and taking several cruises with her family and friends. She enjoyed finer things in life like classic cars and good champagne. She loved going to the theater and going to the beach, especially Ocean Grove. She also loved Hollywood legends like James Garner and Ronald Reagan, the Hallmark Channel and anything with leopard print.
During quiet times, Margaret liked spending time on her backyard patio where she grew many varieties of flowers. She would relax and listen to the birds and enjoy the outdoors.
Margaret’s true joy was her family and friends. Always a gracious hostess, she loved to entertain around the holidays and special occasions. She was a true and caring friend and always made time to take a call, have a visit, or just sit and listen.
Daughter of the late Robert and Anna Adams, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter Trevors. Margaret is survived by her son, Daniel Tote; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Greg Marchionni; her grandsons, Matthew and Steven Marchionni; her sister, Roberta Shestko as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extend family.
