Lynn Scalera, 69, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home in Allentown, NJ.  Born on Staten Island, NY, Lynn was a NJ resident for 48 years. She was a graduate of Saint Peter's High School and Notre Dame College on Staten Island. She taught English for many years at a number of schools, including Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown, NJ, and later enjoyed working as a nanny for several beloved families.

Lynn was an integral part of her community, especially with friends in the weekly neighborhood meditation group. She enjoyed gardening, reading, decorating, hunting for sea glass at the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She was particularly devoted to her granddaughters.

She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Nick; her sons, Nick Jr. and wife, Tara, John and wife, Lori, and three granddaughters, Sophie, Annmarie and Layla. She is also survived by her sisters, Justine Fierra and husband, Sam, and Marisa McMahon and husband, Bill; sister-in-law, Jody Rampulla and husband, Phillip; nine nieces and nephews and five grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Ann and John Ceserano.

Lynn will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Quick with a laugh, a kind gesture, and a smile that lit up our lives, she forever will be in our hearts.

There will be an outdoor spiritual service at 2pm on Thursday, June 21 ^st at 3 Powderhorn Way, Allentown, NJ followed by a celebration of her life at "Lynn's Open House Beach Party" at 1 Powderhorn Way.
