Lucy Petty (nee Mancuso), 83, passed away Sunday, January 11, at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton.. Born in Jamesburg, NJ, she had lived in the Bordentown area for the last 63 years. She was a graduate of Jamesburg High School and had worked at Switlick Parachute Company in Hightstown during WWII, Carter Wallace in New Brunswick, Waterbury Products in Hightstown and retired from Shop Rite in East Windsor after 15 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 26 Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Post 5045 Ladies Auxiliary both of Bordentown and the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown. Lucy loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking along with hosting her well known family gatherings.
Daughter of the late Paul and Rose Mancuso and sister of the late Joseph, Dominic and Louis Mancuso, Lillian Thompson, Nancy Reynolds and Marie Grant and wife of the late Francis A. ""Bert"" Petty; she is survived by her three daughters, Diane Jervis of Asheville, NC, Joanne Petty of Bordentown Twp. and Frances Wolverton and her husband Joseph of Lawrenceville, NJ; three sisters-in-law, Anna, Lillian and Sarah Mancuso; three grandchildren, Charles Jervis Jr. and his wife Stephanie, John Jervis and Sherry Rogers and her husband Thomas; six great grandchildren, Anthony Calabro, John II, Christina and Samantha Jervis, Holly and Matthew Rogers and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Thursday 11 am, January 15, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown, 420 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown Twp. Friends may call Wednesday evening 6 to 8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown and Thursday morning 10 am until time of service at the church.
