Louise E. Wood (86) of Allentown, passed away on Christmas Day Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Clare Estates in Bordentown. Born in Camden, she moved to Allentown over 60 years ago. In her younger years, Louise worked as a Secretary for John Hancock Insurance Company in Camden NJ and was seasonally employed at Great Adventure Jackson NJ, but her passion lay in buying and selling antiques. An avid collector, she loved refinishing furniture to sell at her stores "Antique And…" in Allentown and at her New Egypt Auction location for many years.

Daughter of the late William and Jennie Michael, she was predeceased by her sisters, Irene Devine and Lorraine Michael and by her husband of 59 years, Donald D. Wood, Sr. Louise is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Wood of Allentown, David and Kathleen Wood of New Egypt and Donald Jr and Carol Wood of Allentown; her grandchildren, Melody, Daniel, Bryan, David, Derek, Andrew, Kyle, Elizabeth, Donald III and Katelyn; her 11 great grandchildren; her special cousin, Helen "Tootie" Muhlbaier, and her nieces, Janet Matthews (husband Carl) and Patty Phillips.

A viewing will be held Friday, December 30th from 6-8pm and again Saturday from 10-11am at the Peppler Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 11am on Saturday December 31st at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. John's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to the "Help create a World without Type 1 Diabetes" at JDRF Your Way Louise Wood Memorial
