Louise Shanfield (Sprague), age 87, died on June 23, 2014 at Capital Health Systems - Fuld after a long illness. In her earlier years, Louise was a member of the Bel canto choir, Trenton Community Chorus, Allentown Players and the adult choir of United Allentown Methodist Church, where she was a lifetime member. A retired insurance broker of Rue Insurance, she served as State President of the New Jersey Association of Mutual Insurance Women. Louise was a published poet and loved doing watercolor painting.

Predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Sterling Sprague and brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Doris Sprague, Louise is survived by her husband, William Shanfield; son, Wayne Dunfee and wife, Cheryl; daughter, Linda Graham Bosse and husband, Anthony; granddaughter, Dr. Victoria Bosse and husband, Jeremy Moran; grandson, Joseph Bosse and wife, Christa and great grandchildren, Ezra and Piper Lou. Louise is also survived by three step-children, Frieda (Eric) Villepontoux, Marilyn (Steve) McGrath, Bernard (Katie) Shanfield; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild as well as several cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, June 26th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street, Allentown, NJ. Interment will be in Allentown Methodist Cemetery, Allentown. Calling hours will be from 10am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St, Allentown, NJ 08501.
