Louise M, Carney, 79, of Voorhees, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Complete Care at Kresson View in Voorhees. Born in Trenton, she was a graduate of Allentown High School before attending Rider College. Louise was a resourceful and creative person. Throughout her life she worked a variety of jobs in hospitality, childcare and retail. Louise's true passion was animals, especially cats and dogs, which led her to own and operate her own cat breeding business "Amore Cattery" in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was a member of St Andrews the Apostle Church in Gibbsboro, and the American Cat Fanciers Association. As a youth, she was an avid stamp collector and active in 4-H where she spent time designing, sewing and modeling her own clothes. She was a fun loving, colorful and generous person.
Daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Ireland, she was predeceased by her first husband, George H. Borden, Jr., as well as her second husband, Lawrence P. Carney. Louise is survived by her two daughters, Laura Gibson and her husband, Stewart, of Ridgefield, CT; and Kelly Borden-Joye and her husband, David, of Upper Freehold Township and six grandchildren, Nicole Schrontz and her husband, Ty, Patrick and Taryn Gibson and Natalie, Ryan and Dylan Joye.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, August 5th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Friends may call Thursday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
