Obituary

Louis Raymond deBerlhe, 64, of Cream Ridge, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2011 after a long battle with colon cancer.  Born in Elizabeth, NJ on January 20, 1947, the family moved to Hightstown, NJ in 1961. Louis graduated from Hightstown High School in 1966 and Trenton Technology Institute in 1968.  He also served in the United States Army.  Louis worked for many years at ShopRites in various locations, Dunlop Tire in Dayton, Colgate Palmolive in Piscataway and Griffith Electric in Trenton.  He retired in June 2011 from Allied Barton Security Services after working at PSE&G Duck Island, PNC Bank Ewing and Siemens DeLaval, Trenton.  Louis loved listening to country music and rock music of the 60's.  He also loved watching old TV reruns, sci-fi and horror movies.  He was a loving husband and devoted father.  He lived in the Cream Ridge area for the past 43 years.

Predeceased by his parents Louis and Muriel deBerlhe, sister Harriet deBerlhe Toth; and in-laws Ernest and Mary Robbins, he is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Shirley; two sons, Raymond Louis and Michael David; a brother-in-law, Ernest Robbins Jr., all of Cream Ridge; a nephew and wife, James and Kaleana and daughter Kala, of Beaver Creek, OH and many cousins, especially his favorites Sue Liedtka and Barbara Solis.

Funeral services will be held 8pm on Monday, November 21 st at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main Street, Allentown. Calling hours will be held from 6pm until time of service. Cremation will be private. Inurnment will be held at the Allentown Methodist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louis's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Deborah Hospital Foundation, 20 Pine Mill Rd, Browns Mills, NJ 08015; American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648; Visiting Nurse Assoc. Of Central Jersey, 176 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701 or a charity of the donor's choice.
