Lorraine M. Gentz (nee Hayes), 87 of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Allentown area resident. Lorraine was a graduate of Hamilton High West and retired from New Jersey Bell after many years of service. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed taking care of her home. Her greatest love was her grandchildren, great grandchildren and going to the Jersey Shore.

Daughter of the late Robert and Florence Hayes and wife of the late Herold H. Gentz, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Hayes Jr. and her sister Kathleen Kirkendol. Lorraine is survived by her children, Linda G. Petrocci of Allentown; Donna G. Raney of Hamilton and Thomas H and Janice Gentz of Robbinsville; her grandchildren Marcella P. Haug and her husband Jeff of Penang, Malaysia; Theodore A. Petrocci; Elena M. Petrocci of Seattle WA; John Raney Jr. and his wife Audrey of Hamilton; Brian T. Gentz of Florence; Daniel A. Gentz and his wife Maggie; Alyssa J. Gentz and Christopher R. Gentz all of Allentown; her great grandchildren, SkyeLynn and Josephine Haug, Jaxon, Exton and Maxim Gentz and Maci Grace Raney as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held Monday, October 6th from 6-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. A memorial service will begin at 8pm at the funeral home.
