Lorraine E. Garaguso, 78, of Merchantville, NJ, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Lorraine lived most of her life in Merchantville prior to moving to Cream Ridge to be with her son. Lorraine was trained as a certified brain injury specialist and worked as a teaching assistant at Bancroft NeuroHealth in Haddonfield, NJ. She was in the first graduating class of Pennsauken High School and worked for several years at RCA where she met her husband, Alfred Garaguso. For many years she served as an EMT for the Pennsauken First Aid Squad, was a past member of the Merchantville Junior Woman's Club, and worked for both the Pennsauken Police and the County of Camden in the Freeholder's office. Lorraine was an avid animal lover who rescued many cats and dogs and was a member of the Penn-Dutch Great Pyrenees Club. Lorraine enjoyed exercising and was often seen jogging or walking in her neighborhood. She also loved the beach and taking trips to Cape May.

Daughter of the late Jules and Ella Giumetti, she was predeceased by her husband Alfred Garaguso and by her sister, Adele Giumetti. Lorraine is survived by her son and daughter-in law, Anthony and Erin Garaguso and her grandchildren, Ella, Anthony "A.J." and Thomas Garaguso, all of Cream Ridge.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday November 4, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 43 West Maple Ave., Merchantville, NJ. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
