Lois Jane Hoffner (nee Channell), 95 of Yardville, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Born in Trenton, Lois began her career as a switchboard operator at the Stacy Trent Hotel, before moving on to work at Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G). Lois felt at home wherever she went. She was kind and easy-going, making friends easily. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Fred, camping and taking the RV across the country before they began to spend their winters in Florida.
She was a woman of strong Faith and was an active member of the Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church in Hamilton, a church and community that she loved.
She was skilled in crafts and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making jewelry. Her greatest love was her family. She had a strong work ethic and was devoted to caring for her family. She was a loving wife and mother, who adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Beloved daughter of the late Franklin Everitt and Edna Mae Hendrickson Channell, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Fred C. Hoffner, her grandson, Franklin Hoffner, her son-in-law, Richard Dolci and her lifelong friend, Jean Lewis.
Lois is survived by her loving children, her son and daughter-in-law, Orville Keneth and Christine Secrist; her daughter, Linda Dolci and her stepson, Gary Hoffner Sr and his wife, Cristine. Lois was blessed with her grandchildren, Jody Antenucci (Vincent), Lori Secrist Czap (Richard), Gary Hoffner Jr (Rhonda) and Brent Secrist (Lindsay); eight great-grandchildren, Cassandra Anton (Matt), Michael Antenucci, Vincent Antenucci, Amanda Heffernan, Colleen Heffernan, Brett Czap, Corey Czap, and Corbin Secrist; three great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Evelyn and Bianca Anton; as well as her uncle whom she loved like a brother, Milton C. Hendrickson, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 15th, at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main St., Allentown. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
