Linton C. Elliott "Jumbo", 84, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at home with his family by his side. Born in Florence, he was raised in Columbus and lived in the area most of his life. He was a graduate of William McFarland High School, was a Navy Veteran and retired as a senior inspector for Griffin Pipe of Florence. He enjoyed the outdoors and belonged to the Goose Pond Hunting Club of Tabernacle, NJ and the Bee Cellar Hunting Club of Stillwater, PA. Linton was a member of the Hedding United Methodist Church, The Bordentown American Legion Post # 26, Mount Moriah Lodge #28 F&AM of Bordentown and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Dorothy Elliott, he is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Theresa Elliott (nee Paris), two daughters and sons-in-law: Lynn Ann and David Maziarz of Burlington Township, NJ and Susan and David Fisher of Edgewater Park, his step son, Daniel Patriarca and his wife Paula of Mansfield Township, two sisters, Alice Elliott of Columbus and Iris Elliott of Mt. Laurel, five grandchildren: Valerie Patriarca, Patrick Fisher and his wife Julie, Brian Patriarca, Jennifer Fisher and Mary Anne Maziarz and a great granddaughter, Addison Fisher.
Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Masonic Services will begin at 7:30 pm. Funeral Services will be 11 am Friday, November 6 at the Hedding United Methodist Church, 2289 Old York Rd, Hedding, NJ. Friends may call from 10am until time of service at the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Florence. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hedding Church, PO Box 25, Columbus, NJ 08022 or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
