IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lindsay J.
Barletta
January 28, 1936 – February 22, 2024
Lindsay John Barletta, Sr., 88, of Middlesex, NJ passed away peacefully, after a short hospital stay surrounded by his family on February 22, 2024. Lindsay was born on January 28, 1936, in Plainfield, NJ where he was raised with his brother Michael and sister Angelina (Julie) by his mother Carmella and father Michael. He attended Plainfield High School and was a US Navy veteran serving on the aircraft carrier USS Lexington.
He worked for over 45 years as a manager at The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company where he was loved and respected for his work ethic and his willingness to help those who worked for him. He was a true "People Manager". Lindsay was an avid Yankee fan who loved to watch as many games as he could. He was fortunate enough to spend memorable times with his very good friend of many years, Harry, at a number of Spring Training games.
Lindsay was a man of deep faith which was only surpassed by his love for his family. He held both close as he battled medical challenges for many years and attended a weekly Bible Study with "The GodFellas" a group of men he cared for very much.
He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and unique United States Quarters. Lindsay had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh….that infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to cross his path.
Lindsay is survived by his loving wife, Dixie; his six children: Tammy and her husband, Anthony, Lindsay Jr. and his wife, Lynn, Dana her husband, Ralph, David and his wife, Jennifer, Amy and her husband, Tom, Shannah and her husband, David; his grandchildren, Sean, Melissa, Anthony Jr., Holly, Michael, Vincent, Amanda, Amber, Jonathan, Matthew, Tyler, Emma, Maia, Ben and Sam; great grandchildren, Kane, Lennon, Aurora, Anakin and Amara.
