Linda M. Watson (Riephoff), 80, of Allentown, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Linda graduated from Allentown High School in 1964. After high school she worked at McGraw-Hill, a private medical practice, and later went on to run the office for the family business, Riephoff Sawmill in Allentown. After 36 years, Linda retired in 2018.
Deeply committed to her family, church, and community, Linda spent many years volunteering with organizations that supported others. Community members fondly remembered her as a former Girl Scout leader and band parent. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Allentown Community Loaves and Fishes. In partnership with Jim’s Bagels in Robbinsville, she helped establish a bagel-delivery mission that distributed leftover bagels to local residents. She also served as Treasurer for the Allentown High School 50+ Reunion Committee.
Linda was a dedicated and invaluable member of the Allentown United Methodist Church where she served as Lay Leader for several years. She devoted countless hours to preparing the church and coordinating events, including the annual bazaar and fellowship activities held throughout the years. She especially loved decorating the church for Christmas and Easter.
Most of all, Linda was a loving wife and mother, but her favorite title was grandmom and RaRa. She treasured annual beach vacations in Ocean City and the Outer Banks where the entire family could be together and make lasting memories. She was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader. She loved watching her grandsons play soccer and her granddaughter dance. She never missed a school event or ceremony. She proudly made all of their birthday cakes no matter how difficult the designs.
Linda truly loved helping others and always did it with a smile on her face and love in her heart. She touched many people over the years and will be greatly missed.
Daughter of the late C. Frank and Eva E. Riephoff, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Dale M. Watson and by her sister, Marion Hooper. Linda is survived by her two daughters, Shannon Muntone of Ewing and Kelly Monahan of Hamilton; her beloved grandchildren, Zachary and Nathaniel Muntone and Kayla and Derek Monahan; her sister, Barbara Falconio and her nephews, nieces, and their families, John Falconio, Renee Falconio, Lisa Falconio, Todd Hooper, and Robin Tricker.
A viewing will be held Friday, October 9th from 6-9pm at Allentown United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held 11am on Saturday, October 10th at the church. Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery.
