Lillian E. Swinger, 85, of Burlington, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly. Born to John William Orr and Elizabeth J. Ely-Orr on May 7th, 1925 in Millstone Township, she resided in Hightstown for many years before moving to Springhill, FL in 1980 and later to the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington in 1999. Lillian retired as a Bus Driver from East Windsor Regional School District. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown and was active in its Bell Choir and Women's Group. While living at the Masonic Home, Lillian attended the Masonic Home Chapel and was a member of the Choir and the Bell Choir. She was also a member of the O.E.S. Beverly Maqueda No. 276 and the Masonic Home Volunteers.
Lillian is survived by her children, Marie E. Danser, Vivian E. Eiker and her husband John, Raymond J. Swinger and his wife Darla and Robert S. Swinger and his wife Denise; nine grandchildren, Robert J. Danser, Alison E. Clark, Franklin E. Eiker, William R. Swinger, Michael S. Swinger, Tracy L. Swinger, LeeAnne M. Swinger, Kimberly E. Swinger and Scott A. Swinger; seven great-grandchildren, Logan and Nolan Clark, Ethan, Ryan, Landon, Jacob Danser and Caylee Swinger; two brothers, John and Charles Orr and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7th at the Masonic Home Chapel, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016 at a time to be determined. Inurnment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Masonic Home or a charity of the donor's choice.
