Liane P. Heisler, 57, of Cookstown, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Fuerth, Germany, she moved to the US in 1969 at the age of 10. Liane worked for the State of New Jersey for 35 years and had recently retired one year ago. She was a funny, caring and charismatic person who was always smiling and laughing. She was an excellent cook and baker and looked forward to holiday gatherings so that she could make big meals and showcase her talents. She enjoyed going on vacations all around the world, planting her vegetable garden each year and riding on the back of her husband's motorcycle. But above all she loved and was devoted to her family and was especially excited to have been recently made a grandmother or "Omi".

Liane is survived by her husband of 34 years Richard Heisler; her children, Tabitha Heisler and her fiancé John Maloney and Shane Heisler and his fiancée Danielle Goodwin; one grandson, Grant Maloney and one soon to be grandchild; her mother, Gertrud Hofmann Braun; her brother and sister-in-law, William and Robin Braun; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marty C. Heisler, Norma Paisley and Barbara and Ron Mathias as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Saturday, February 18th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 pm and again on Saturday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
