Leroy ""Lee"" C. Taylor, 76, of Cream Ridge, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his home.  Born in Neptune, NJ, he grew up in Smithburg and was a longtime resident of the Chesterfield and Allentown area.  A graduate of Freehold High School, Lee served in the National Guard and retired from PSE&G.  He was a longtime member of Chesterfield Baptist Church and a member of Mount Moriah Lodge # 28 F.&A.M.  Lee was also an avid civil war enthusiast.

Predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Taylor Abate, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marion L. Leming Taylor; his children, Vickie L. Steffens of Bedford, VA, Scott L. and Sandy Taylor of Narvon, PA and Susan L. Dreessen of Bordentown; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Patrick and his wife Alanna, Randall and Rebecca Steffens, Ann Marie, Christine and Lauren Taylor and Courtney and Lindsay Dreessen; a brother, Abraham Taylor as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Saturday, May 26 ^th at the Chesterfield Baptist Church.  The Rev. Dr. Edward DeSilva will officiate.  Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist cemetery.  Friends may call Friday evening from 6-9pm with a Masonic Service to be held at 8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chesterfield Baptist Church, 209 Matthews Lane, Chesterfield, NJ 08515.
