Obituary

Leonard James Olschewski, 89, of Chesterfield, has gone home to our Lord on April 6, 2012.  Born in Trenton, he was a Chesterfield resident for over 60 years.  Leonard retired from CF&I Steel Company in Roebling, NJ after 33 years of service and then worked for 10 more years at The First National Bank of Princeton.  He was a nature lover and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Son of the late John and Pelagia Olschewski, he is survived by his loving wife, Mary, with whom he just celebrated 70 years of marriage on Valentine's Day; his daughters, Eileen Peterson of Boise, ID, Melia and Norman Stoop of Jobstown, Leona and John Hart of Perrineville and Christine Olschewski of Chesterfield; his son, Leonard M. and Roberta Olschewski of Chesterfield as well as twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be held 12pm Friday, April 13 th at the Peppler Funeral Home 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ.  Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bordentown.  Friends may call from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Chesterfield First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 269, Chesterfield, NJ 08515 or Chesterfield Hose Company, 296 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road Chesterfield, NJ 08515, where Leonard was a volunteer for 20 years.  The family would like to thank Virtua Home Care and Visiting Physician Association of South Jersey for their kind support and loving care.
