Obituary

Leo O. Clement, 76, of Columbus, passed away Saturday August 17, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson hospital in Hamilton surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Fall River, MA, Leo was a US Air Force Veteran, serving honorably in Vietnam. He graduated from Mercer County Community College and attended Rider University. Leo was a dedicated Senior Manager of Technical Services Operations Support with Dow Jones-Wall Street Journal for 32 years. After leaving DJWSJ, Leo was a Tool Pro at Sears and then a Sales Rep at Beebe Inc. for many years. Leo was past President of the Steinert Band Parents Association, a girls' soccer coach and was involved with the Groveville United Methodist Church for many years. He enjoyed lighthouses, woodworking, painting on slate and working on his '65 Mustang. Above all, Leo was a family man whose greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife, Rita and his family and friends.

Son of the late Leo Armand and Rita Gloria Clement, he is predeceased by his sister-in-law, Loraine Pack. Leo is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Rita Jean (nee Errickson); his daughter, Stephanie Rheinhardt and her husband, Jon and his daughter, Claudine Clement; his grandchildren, Jonny and Emily Rheinhardt; his sister, Rita Price and her husband, Ronald; his brother, Paul Clement; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Jacqueline and Neil Marchesi, Sr. and Carl Pack; nieces and nephews, Sandra (Michael) Buco, Rose Marie (Robert) Coates, Carol (Henry) Wilson, Robin (Charles) McCaughey, Carl Pack III, Cynthia (Kevin) Kelly, Jill (Dave) Mennilli, Neil (Alyssa) Marchesi and Terry Dey; his close family friends, Geno and Eileen Bishop and their children, Leo and Cathy as well as many other nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, August 25th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main Street, Allentown. Friends may call from 1pm until time of service. A Military Inurnment will be held 10:30am on Monday, August 26th at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown. Those wishing to attend, please meet at the funeral home by 9:45am. Due to cemetery restrictions, the family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Leo's name to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St. #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691, The Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or Operation Homefront, P.O.
