Lena A. Tague, 90, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Capital Health in Hopewell Township, NJ. Born in Bordentown, she was a resident of the community her entire life. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Grammar School, William McFarland High School and received a Secretarial Science Degree from Rider College. Lena had worked for the Veterans Administration at Fort Dix and also for the Attorney General's Office of the State of New Jersey for 17 years. She was an active member of St. Mary Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Lena cherished her faith, family and beloved friends of Bordentown.
Predeceased by her parents, Matteo and Grazia Dantuono, her sisters, Mary Morton and Lucy LaPointe and her beloved husband of 45 years, James B. Tague, she is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Glenn Stanton of Hamilton Square, Maryellen and Christopher Aland of Newtown, PA and Patricia and David Lawrence of Frederick, MD. Seven grandchildren: Dr. Kristen Aland and her husband Raymond Guido III, Paul Stanton and his wife Catherine, John Aland and his wife Gretchen, Scott Aland, Mark Stanton and Matthew and Megan Lawrence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday, March 3 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. The interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm and again on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ.
