Laurie May Kurtz, 63, of Hamilton Square, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Trenton, Laurie was a lifelong Hamilton resident. She graduated from Steinert High School and continued her education at Mercer County Community College, where she earned two associate degrees, one of which was in graphic arts. Her professional journey included roles as a retail associate with Sears and Chico’s, where her keen sense of fashion truly shined. Laurie's passion for fashion design was so remarkable that it caught the eye of a Tommy Hilfiger representative, who encouraged her to pursue a career with the brand. She cherished collecting vintage clothing and jewelry and was an enthusiastic admirer of all things Disney. A dedicated sports fan, Laurie cheered passionately for the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabers, and the Buffalo Bandits professional lacrosse team. Laurie was a wonderful dancer which was highlighted when her and her brother were recorded for a movie in New York City. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Daughter of the late John and Bernice Kurtz, Laurie is survived by her brother, John Kurtz; her sister, Cheryl Mills; her nieces, Taylor Cornelius and her husband, Doug and Hannah Mills and her husband Gen Ito; her great niece, Annabelle Cornelius; her former brother-in-law, Jeremy Mills, as well as many extended family and good friends.
