Laura Helen Skalak, 79, of Monroe Twp. passed away Wednesday at Princeton Medical Center. Born in New York, NY, she was a resident of East Orange for many years before recently moving to Monroe Twp. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant in the Guidance Dept at Clifford J. Scott High School, in East Orange. She took great pleasure in her contacts with the students and staff there.

Laura is survived by her children, David B. Skalak and his wife Claire Cardie of Ithaca, NY, Peter Skalak and his wife Cindy of Durham, NC, and Judi Skalak of Robbinsville, NJ, and by her grandchildren, Daniel, Lindsay, Seth and Joshua. Her husband for 55 years, Edwin, passed away in October, 2007.

In accordance with her wishes, a funeral service will not be held. Interment will be private at the convenience of her family. Arrangements under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
