L. Evelyn Rue, 91, of Hamilton Twp. passed away Tuesday January 29th at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Trenton she was a resident of the Allentown area for over 50 years. A 1934 graduated of Hamilton High School; she retired from the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicle after 30 years of service. After retirement she and her husband volunteered for organizations including the Masonic Home of New Jersey and Robert Wood Johnson, Hamilton.

Daughter of the late Harry Holstrom and Lily Lewis and sister of the late Harry Holstrom, Jr. she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Joseph A. Rue.

Funeral service will be held Monday11am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Merton Steelman will officiate. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Monday 10-11am at the funeral home.
