Kenneth Johnson, 78, died Friday at his home in Delran, NJ. Born in Allentown, he lived in the East Windsor area, before moving to Bordentown and then Delran for the last 20 years. He retired after 24 years as a sanitation worker with East Windsor Twp. A US Army veteran, Mr. Johnson was a member of the VFW Post 5700 of Hightstown.
Son of the late Kenneth and Edna Johnson, husband of the late June Johnson (nee Danko) and brother of the late Richard and Edward Johnson, Martha Sexton and Joan Johnson, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Marion Johnson of Trenton, five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pluma and Herbert Polhemus of Woodstock, VA, Connie and Charles Stout of Hightstown, Betty Stout of Hightstown, Barbara Donavan of New Egypt and Shirley Bowers of Cream Ridge; a sister-in-law, Katherine Johnson of New Market, VA and many, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday 10:30am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Horace Frantz will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown. Friends and family may call from 9-10:30am at the funeral home.
