Kathleen C. Sweeney Rein, 82, died Monday at the Seacrest Village Nursing Home, Tuckerton, NJ. Born in Florence, NJ she had lived in the Bordentown area for over 50 years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Bordentown and belonged to the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens and the St. Mary's PTA. She along with her husband David was instrumental in starting the St. Mary's food pantry. Kathleen also enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City.
Daughter of the late Robert and Josephine Sweeney (nee Kirwin), sister of the late Robert and Richard Sweeney and wife of the late David K. Rein, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; David and Kelly Rein of Burlington Township. A daughter and son-in-law; Bunny and Thomas White of Ship Bottom. Two sisters and a son-in-law; Elizabeth and Thomas DiPierro of Burlington City and Sister Mary Corita of St. Joseph's, Westfield. Four grandchildren: David and Morgan Rein, Jude McGuire and Andree Hille and her husband Scott. Two great grandchildren: Jonathan and Shay Hille.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Interment will follow in Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends may call Thursday evening 6 to 8 pm and again Friday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
