Kathleen A. Penrose , aged 76, of the Bordentown/Yardville area, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born in Trenton, Kathleen made her home in the Bordentown community for over half a century, becoming an integral part of the lives and hearts of those around her.

A devoted Registered Nurse, Kathleen's career spanned many respected medical institutions. Her compassion and skill touched countless patients, families, and colleagues. Most recently, she served with great commitment at Albert Wagner Youth Correctional, where she provided care and comfort until her retirement in late 2015.

Kathleen's nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid gardener, cultivating not only vibrant flowers and verdant landscapes but also deep bonds with friends and neighbors. Her greatest joy came from being a loving mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her granddaughters and delighting in their laughter.

Predeceased by her beloved parents, John and Miriam Scott, and her loving husband, John Penrose, Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and devotion. She is survived by her son Ryan and Laina Penrose; daughter Casey and John Rickett; her brother John and Dee Scott; her sister Susanne and Marvin Freedman; and her cherished granddaughters Maia Rickett and Samantha Rickett.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kathleen's life on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Services will be held at 10 a.m. at Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ 08505. A visitation with the family will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Cemetery in Wrightstown.

Kathleen will be remembered for her gentle touch, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were privileged to know her.
