Kathleen Maher, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 10, 2010 while resting in her home in Lakewood, NJ. Kathleen worked many years in the brokerage industry in NY. As a working mother, she succeeded in sending her four children to college, enjoyed each of their weddings and cherished her grandchildren, family and friends. Kathleen's friends and family knew her as a smart woman that stood up for what she believed. In her daily life she took pride in keeping busy and always accomplishing something. She was a wonderful gardener and artist. Kathleen persevered through two years of cancer treatments and ended her days under the compassionate care of hospice. Kathleen was a hero to us all and she will be forever in our hearts.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Mary Maher Bruce and her husband Stephen of Waldwick, Thomas Maher and his wife Sharon of Westfield, Terry Maher and his wife Judy of Brooklyn, NY and Eileen Skinner and her husband Paul of Allentown; grandchildren, Brian and Molly Maher, Daniel, Ryan and Matthew Skinner as well as nieces and nephews Kathleen and John McMahon and Patricia McMahon Previte.

A memorial will be held 11:00 Thursday, August 12th at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St. Allentown followed by a luncheon at Villa Barone in Robbinsville.
