Kathleen M. Catana, 84, of Lewes, DE, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Born in Trenton, NJ, she grew up in Groveville and moved to Hamilton after she married. She and her husband resided in Port Reading for a several years before moving to Cream Ridge in 1973 and Lewes, DE in 2007.

Kathleen worked for Walter B. Howe Insurance Group in Princeton for many years. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Kathleen was very artistic. She was a talented painter, enjoyed participating in the Allentown Community Theater and loved to sing. She sang in the church choir for both St. John's and St. Gregory's and sang in many community groups.

Daughter of the late Edwin and Emily Colgan, she is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Louis William Catana, Jr.; her children and their spouses, Mary and Stephen Johnson, Marcia and Bob Vogel, and Anthony and Beth Catana; her grandchildren, Lindsay Johnson and her husband, John Butler, Patrick Johnson, John Vogel and his wife, Liane Toohey, Laurie Vogel and her husband, Tom Carle, Alyssa Vogel and her husband, Mike Merves, Alex Catana, Katelyn Catana, and Ben Catana; her great granddaughter, Stella Vogel; her sisters and brother-in-law, Carol and Steven Taylor and Michelle Dempster; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 10-11am on Monday, December 30th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at the church. Interment will follow in the North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen's name to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Kathy Sooy Memorial Fund , a scholarship fund for students majoring in Education.
