Julia E. Eckman, 81, of Robbinsville, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her home. Born in Yardville, Julia loved archery and was a member of Wax-O-Be Archers Club. She was a State Champion and Mid Atlantic Champion as recently as 2007.  Julia was an avid gardener and a seamstress who often made her own clothes.

Daughter of the late Frederick and Julia Liedtka, Julia is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Horace S. Eckman; two children, David J. Eckman, and his wife Joanne of Vero Beach, FL and Nancy R. Sargent of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Adam Eckman and his wife Caroline, Rachel Eckman and her husband David Miller, Rebecca Snedecor and her husband Travis, Sarah and Hanna Eckman and Alexander W. Sargent; two great grandchildren, William Brady Eckman and Peyton Miller; a brother, Thomas and his wife Ruth Liedtka; sister-in-law Ruth (Liedtka) and her husband  Dr. Howard Fredericks as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held from 11 â?? 1pm Saturday, July 2 ^nd at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
