Julian Gordon, 74, of Mt. Laurel, passed away April 24, 2012, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Laurel. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he retired from the United States Air Force as an E-6 Tech Sergeant after 20 years of service. He later worked as a state investigator for the NJ Child Support Division for 17 years. Julian was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hainesport, NJ, and was a past member of Hope Fire Company in Allentown, NJ. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the New York Mets and Giants.
Son of the late Samuel and Thelma Gordon, he was predeceased by his wife, Doris Gordon. Julian is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Hylkema and her husband Peter, Donna Brophy and her husband David, and Kathryn Piva and her husband Jeff; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Rachel, Reid, Riley, Ashley, Jacob, Samuel, and Addison; a great grandson, Christian; two sisters, Marilyn Merolla and Rita Moyer and her husband William as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 3pm on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown. A visitation will be held Saturday from 1pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
