Obituary

Judith Ann Ellis, 84, of Robbinsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Rose Hill Assisted Living, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Judith was a longtime resident of the Cream Ridge area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Judy loved the holidays—especially Christmas—and took great pleasure in entertaining and hosting family and friends. Known for her kind heart, warm smile, and gentle sense of humor, she enjoyed joking and sharing laughter with those around her.

Judy had a deep love for flowers, plants, and the outdoors. She cherished the many family camping trips, visits to the Jersey Shore, going for rides, sightseeing excursions, and vacations along the coast of Maryland. An avid antique collector, she also had a fond appreciation for history and beautiful, meaningful objects. In addition, Judy enjoyed harness racing and spent many happy hours watching the horses at the track.

She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Jules Fern and was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald F. Ellis; her son, Kevin Steven Loichle; and her brothers, Jules Fern and Robert Fern.

Judy is survived by her children: Robin Milito Mischik and her husband William Mischik; Roger Loichle and his wife Valerie; Sharon Ellis; and Ronald Ellis. She was a proud grandmother to Nicole, Casey, Keith, David, Dillon, Devan, Marc, Ronald J., Cara, and Max, and a cherished great-grandmother to Julian, Jordan, D.J., Jack, Laila, Philip, Dillon, Lily, and Evanleigh.

She is also survived by her two close and loving friends, Barbara Brown and Janet White.

Judy is further survived by her wonderful caregivers, Beatrice, Bodine, Yvonne, and Erica, and the entire compassionate staff at Rose Hill Assisted Living, to whom the family extends heartfelt gratitude.

A viewing will be held Sunday, January 18th from 1-3pm at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street, Allentown, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 3pm at the funeral home. Burial at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to Heart of Surfing, 301 Dorchester Dr, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08324 www.heartofsurfing.org or to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352 www.chop.edu
