Obituary

Jozef Macuda, 49, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 in his home.
Born in Lucenec, Slovakia, he moved to the USA in 1989 where he resided in Robbinsville, Bordentown and later Allentown. Jozef worked for Princeton Nurseries in Allentown, for many years where he fell in love with nature. His memory was remarkable and he could cite the Latin name of any tree, bush or flower. He was currently employed by Princeton Public Works.

Jozef had a passion for music. He had an ear for rhythm and loved to dance. He especially loved to listen to Freddie Mercury and Queen. He was an avid hockey fan, proudly supporting the New Jersey Devils and was competitive, enjoying challenging his family and friends playing table tennis and board games. Jozef was not afraid to speak his mind and had a thirst for knowledge that was limitless, if it could be done, Jozef would find a way to do it. He was extremely handy, taking on all tasks that need to be completed and also enjoyed to cook and entertain. Most of all, Jozef loved to laugh and was devoted to his family and friends.

Son of the late Jozef Macuda, he is survived by his loving family; his wife of 27 years, Miriam Macuda and two daughters, Jennie and Kelly Jo. He is also survived by his mother, Emilia Macudova, his brother, Jaroslav Macuda, sister-in-law Bronislava Macudova, niece Dana Macudova as well as extended family in Slovakia.

A visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, March 10th from 4-7pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
