IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joyce
Anghelone
July 30, 1950 – November 6, 2024
Joyce Anghelone, 74, of Allentown NJ, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born in Trenton, she was raised in Hightstown and lived in Columbus and Cream Ridge for many years before moving to the Allentown area. Joyce attended Montclair State for her Bachelor's degree and Rutgers University for a Master of Science. With a love and desire to help children effectively communicate, she became a speech pathologist initially working in Hightstown School District and eventually retiring from Columbus Elementary School. Her skill, combined with her passion for helping others, changed the lives of so many children over the years who were able to beautifully communicate having had the opportunity to work with her.
A true animal lover, Joyce surrounded herself with many animals throughout her life including dogs, a donkey and pony, as well as horses. Her true loves were her beloved dog Peanut and her horse KC Sunshine. She was also very talented at sewing and crocheting and found joy in creating designs for her friends and family. Joyce enjoyed reading, appreciating the beauty in simple things, and most who knew her would say that she would go out of her way to make someone feel special and appreciated with a small gift or note. Most of all, Joyce truly loved to create traditions for her children around holidays and birthdays that were carried on throughout their life. Joyce was a strong woman who faced many different adversities and always continued to fight for what she believed in throughout her life.
Daughter of the late Helen and David Goldstein, she was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Peter Mnych. Joyce is survived by her son, Ryan Anghelone and his wife, Leslie Blischak; her daughter, Sarah Scimeme and her husband, Bryan; her grandchildren, Riley and Nicholas Anghelone and Michael and Ryan Scimeme; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Goldstein; nephew, Jay Goldstein and niece, Rebecca Chierico.
